Digitalization in Tanger Med: a new step forward for Agri-business exports

In the framework of the dematerialization of Tanger Med's service offer through the implementation in its portal "Port Community System" of various solutions to strengthen the logistic competitiveness of exporters, a new milestone has just been reached thanks to the partnership with Morocco Foodex for the facilitation of Moroccan exports of agri-food products. 

This new solution will allow a dematerialized management of agri-good’s export process, according to the requirements of Morocco Foodex, from the product packaging, storage and manufacturing stations throughout the Kingdom. 

For instance, an exporter of citrus fruits from the Agadir region, will be able, thanks to his access accounts in Morocco Foodex portal or in "Tanger Med Port Community System" to apply for the certification of compliance of his products for export, to consult the control results issued by Morocco Foodex, and to generate in a dematerialized way the inspection certificate of his exports, all from his production site. 

Thanks to the automated exchange with control bodies and border crossing points, including the BADR system of the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration, the inspection certificate can be automatically sent to obtain the customs clearance for shipment through Tanger Med port. 

This solution confirms Tanger Med's ongoing commitment to improving the logistics competitiveness of Moroccan exporters.
